Karhu, which means Bjørn in Finnish, has an incredible heritage and innovation history in the sneaker world and dates back to their origin in 1916 in Finland.

This actually makes it one of the world's first sneaker brands. Established under the name "AB SPORTSARTIKLAR" in a small Helsinki workshop in 1916, Karhus first product offering-except for spears, skiing and discus made of birch-included running shoes and paving for improved performance on the lanes.
